Do I need an appointment to try on dresses?
Yes - It can be nerve-wracking trying on dresses for the first time and it’s my job to put your mind at rest and ensure you have fun, relax and get to enjoy dressing up and trying some gorgeous gowns without feeling self-conscious and without disruptions. Because of this, the boutique is by appointment only.
How long does an appointment last?
A bridal appointment is for 90 minutes, bridesmaid 60 mins, and a styling appointment for accessories 30 minutes. All appointments begin with a chat to find out about your wedding plans, vibe, and style. I then talk you through the selecting and trying on processes. I don't restrict you to the number of dresses you can try on during your appointment, the appointment is yours to do with what you like.

I work during your opening hours, do you offer evening appointments?
I know how busy life can be with juggling family and work. Therefore I can offer evening appointments by request. I am very flexible and will do whatever I can to accommodate you.
When should I start my dress journey?
The proposal has happened, the excitement is building, and the first thing you want to do, is get the girls together, and book appointments to start trying on wedding dresses. (I know I have been this side of the journey too). Realistically I would recommend to start looking for your dress 12-14 months prior to the big day! As our designers are scattered across the world, order & shipping time can vary and be anything between 4-7 months. You also need to allow time for alterations. This timeline is only ideal, not an absolute must!
Who should you bring with you?
Exciting as this time is, and wanting everyone to be involved, bringing an entourage of your bridesmaids, mum, mother-in-law, friends and every other important person in your life, is really not advisable. Too many different opinions can become overwhelming, you need to be able to think, and follow your own instincts about which dress makes you look and feel good. During your appointment I am able to comfortably accommodate a maximum of 4 guests. I completely understand that this is an experience that you want to share with lots of people, once you have chosen your dress you are more than welcome to bring more of your chosen party along to view you when your own dress arrives.
Wedding dress shopping isn't much fun for children and, as much as I love them, they can require lots of attention. Please consider your appointment as an exclusive, gown-up treat! It can make it really difficult for the bride to relax and enjoy the appointment if she’s constantly worrying what the little ones are up to.
How to get to us
Use the post code TR8 4FF to find us. There is free street parking on all roads in Nansledan. Please be mindful of parking considerately to others. There is also a car park where the Nansledan signs are situated, by the roundabout with the granite stone in the centre. The signs say sales office parking, however you can park here also.

Do I need to bring anything to the appointment?
During your bridal appointment skin coloured seamless underwear will be least visible under your dress, and help you get the best idea how the dress will look on your day. It can make a huge difference to the look of the dresses you will be trying on. Most bridal dresses don’t require a bra, however please feel free to bring one for your modesty if you prefer. If you do a strapless bra is recommended. Please don’t worry if you haven’t got one, we can always work around it by tucking straps in.
Don’t panic! It is completely normal to feel shy and nervous at the thought of stripping down to your underwear to try on dresses for the first time. It is my job to put your mind at rest and ensure you have fun, relax and get to enjoy dressing up and trying some gorgeous gowns without feeling self-conscious. Please don’t wear heavy make-up or instant tan on the day of your appointment as I want my sample dresses to stay beautiful for all my brides.
Please also note that photography is not permitted in the boutique. Any photos taken will not be a true reflection of how lovely you will look on the day. They usually lead to a panicking bride when the photos do not do the dress justice or their friend/family member has caught them at a bad angle!
From the moment I stepped through the door at Bliss Bridal Tracy instantly made me feel at ease. I hadn’t been enjoying shopping for my wedding dress until I met Tracy at Bliss, and my whole experience changed! I found my dress here and I couldn’t have been happier. There were so many beautiful dresses to choose from and Tracy’s service and advice was first class. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
